Returning Your Xbox?
Discussion
I've got the UPS return label and everything.. Just not sure what to put it in?
It says, the Xbox will be returned to you in your packaging.
Use a sturdy package that is well padded to help protect the contents during the shipping process. The service centre will return the repaired or replaced components to you in our own packaging.
But then at the bottom it says this;
Do not:
· Do not write Xbox or Microsoft on the outside of the package.
· Do not use your original Xbox or Xbox 360 packaging to send your console to our Service Centre, as it will not be returned.
· Do not include any Games, Hard Drives, AV cables, Controllers or any other accessories with the console unless instructed by an Xbox Service Agent.
Also, do I write this on the box I send it in?
· Write your full return address and the Service Request number on the outside of the package.
Sorry to sound silly, I just don't want to get it wrong

If you have the printed UPS label with your return address on it then you dont need to put anything on the box apart from that label. Theres a foldy bit at the side of the label you should sign and date then fold over before you stick it down.
Send your console and nothing else, remember to take your hard drive off.
When/If you arrange for collection and it asks for weight, it will be around 3.5kg.
P.s they wont give you your box back, you get one of theirs back with special packing inside.

So just got to go get a cardboard box and some bubble wrap at lunch and get it sent off

Dont hang around too long as the UPS label is only valid for 10 days.
Mine got returned last week after only a week turn around. UPS actually appeared at the door 2 days before I got an email saying it had been fixed.
p.s. one of those giant boxes of washing up powder makes a great sturdy box.

Just recently got mine back - was exactly a week turn around and thought UPS service was flexible, professional and fantastic.
I made a note of keeping the box they used to send it back in, you never know when it might come in handy for sending it back in the future
Good idea that!I made a note of keeping the box they used to send it back in, you never know when it might come in handy for sending it back in the future

I got a box from the PostOffice that fits perfectly, wrapped it all up in bubble wrap and am just about to call UPS.
This label i've printed off.. I've signed it and folded it in half, what do I do with it now.. Just stick it on and get UPS to pick it up?

I booked my UPS apppointment from the web link they sent in the MS email about the returns process - picked myself a two hour time window suitable to me for when they could come and collect. I booked 3pm, they turned up at 3:20pm.
You can ring UPS too - they are very helpful.
