72 Undergraduates

The Caterham Graduates club has signed 72 racing members for the 2002 season, making the organisation's championship once more among the best-supported in the UK.

Of these 72 drivers, 51 intend to compete in the standard Graduates class and 21 in the faster Super-Graduates class.

To cope with the large numbers of competitors, each round of the championship will feature three races - a qualification race and primary race for the standard Graduate class, and a separate grid for the Super-Graduates.

The championship this year also features its highest ever female contingent, with five women taking part. Newcomer Valerie Diederichs joins Sarah Reader in the Super-Graduate class, with Rachel Green, Sheila Marshall and Fiona McDonald in the standard Graduate class.

Caterham Graduates Racing Club is holding a pre-season test day on the Oulton Park International circuit on Tuesday 5 March. Any drivers interested in taking part should contact Graeme Smith on 01625 613708.

Valerie Diederichs is well up for it we met on at the silverstone race school on the race intensive course.
We did try to entice her into a tasmin but the Caterhams are slightly higher profile ( at the moment )

I wish her good look any way...

I think I was slightly (very worried!!) having heard some of the stories about the Tasmin races. Blame Patrick and Graham for those. So I thought Caterhams sounded safer.
I wish Graham loads of luck with the Tasmin's. I hope to see some of his stories unfold when the two race calendars meet.

You needn't hav worried, my and patricks antics on the kart track do not reflect our behaviour on the race track
