Is there anything worse than a dreaded RRoD? until Friday i'd have thought not. However, some little C-Unit has shown me otherwise!

To cut a potentially long story short someone broke into my flat on Friday morning and stole my Xbox360, the games for it from the bookshelf and all the relevant leads and controllers etc.

They completely ignored everything else in the flat, just went after the Xbox.

Now, i'm not too fussed by the hardware as the insurance will cover that but the fact that the HDD attached to my xbox is gone, containing all my save games but my Forza game in particular has really cheesed me off to say the least!!!!

I've replaced the hardware now but firing up Forza and seeing a garage of 1 standard D class car, and 500 credits in the bank is mightily depressing... i had only just reach lvl 30 in my career game but had just discovered drifting and was building a nice collection of cars in the garage and also some nice paint jobs... some by me some by others and the same goes for tunes... now all gone frown

So, many thanks to ConcreteB and Cypher who have kindly donated a couple of drifter's to keep my sanity safe for now, but whats the quickest route through the game to build up lvl (to unlock things) and credits so i can afford to buy parts and customize the cars?

Anyone got any tips for a Fastrack Forza career?

Apologies if this is a little wordy but i feel much better now having vented! smile

That sounds like a pain worse than death, having recently had a harddrive crash on my laptop and losing 10,000 photos I can to a point understand your pain. I'm wondering for the sake of a few quid I might get a memory card and save my garage to there regularly if it can be done.

Post up your GT and I'll have a trough through and sling some odds and sods your way.

Yup am gutted just for loosing the Forza save game!! Backing up to a memory card isn't a bad idea at all... when there's something worth backing up i will have to give that some thought.

GT = J1MBYRNE

Cheers dude, much appreciated thumbup!

only tip really for career is use the best car you have for each race, meaning you can rack the difficulty right up and get more winnings, and also do the hardest race open to you, more credits = faster progression.

good luck and sorry to hear about the burglary!

to be honest - i had a friend come round and i introduced them to Forza, and set them up their own profile to build up...

I loved starting from scratch again - having too much money and all the cars and everything completed had got pretty dull... starting again is great fun smile

Again, t'is a massive shame that everything has been lost. I would suggest the same as Kitch in racing slightly longer races first or whacking all assists/aids up so you get maximum points from each race.

Perhaps when were drifting, we should also set the game type as ranked occasionally too, and let you cross the line first at the end? Its not like i'm that bothered about my online rank as i don't race that often, and that'll give you some additional credits?

I'll have another scout through the garage and try and find a few cars that are drift-worthy that i don't make the use of.

As mentioned last night, someone added me to friends through forza last night then joined a game and complained about their HDD being corrupted. seeing as we had planned to do a n00b race I assumed it was a PHer and donated them a few cars incuding a one off r34...

I'll have a look at my limited garage and see if I can at least send you some tuned up lower class cars.

Cheers for the replies and kind offers of cars etc, thank you all very much thumbup

I guess you're right, starting from the start could be quite a giggle, It's been a long time since i did the early races... could be a nice challenge with all the difficulty ramped up high.

I'll be online this eve, probably around half 9, 10 ish if anyone's about... ah now there's a dilema!.. forge ahead with the career or indulge in some online driftage?? decisions decisions! scratchchin

And leave a hired driver to progress your career whenver you go make a cuppa etc.
