All, I'm heading down to South Africa on Saturday night - an unpleasant 11 hours in economy each way!

The list of new movies on show is:

Marley & Me
Bride Wars
The Reader
Transporter 3
The curious case of Benjamin Button
Seven Pounds
Slumdog Millionaire
Yes Man

Being the father of 2 children under the age of 3, I've not been to the cinema in years - so long distance travel is all the time I have for films! Any advice on what to see - I guess it will be Slumdog on one flight - but don't know about the other flights (although Rainman is also on offer under classic movies!)

I personally didnt like Bride Wars, Slumdog Millionair or Seven Pounds.

I have heard The Reader is good though, and I would watch that next

Marley & Me - Dire
Bride Wars- Dire, unfunny, painful to watch
The Reader- Dunno
Transporter 3- Remove brain, enjoy immensely
The curious case of Benjamin Button- Brilliant film
Seven Pounds- Dunno
Slumdog Millionaire- Found this very over-hyped. 4/10 in my book.
Yes Man- Usual Jim Carrey fayre, amusing but samey

Found Ben Button to be the over hyped crap myself, and Slumdog Millionaire to be a very good watch.

As they say, one man's munter is another man's beauty, such is the variety of life.... biggrin

If we all thought the same it'd be a very dull world we live in...

And it will make the tiresome arrivals/checking in something to look forward to after being subjected to the worst 2 hours of your life. You might even wish for an engine failure just to take you mind off it.

As opposed to 5 minutes after you've been on South African soil...
