PDP Development?

I've been offered a place on a development course at work which starts in a few weeks. I need to develop a PDP to work on during this course. I don't really know much about PDPs apart from the fact that it definitely needs to include a SWOT analysis.
What else - any tips you could give would be great.

I'm surprised your employer isn't being more helpful.
If it's a development course do you definitely have to prepare your PDP before you go? Won't you create it on your course?
For many courses like that, trainers ask that you meet with your line manager ahead of attending for a short session where they explain areas in which they perceive you to require development.
You then take this feedback with you to the course and add your own development goals.
