It was tongue in cheek guys!
& yes the M is 321bhp not 240 as stated & mine is not limited to 155....
NEXT?
Sorry for the constant edits but for somebody who owns a cerb & previously owned an M3, surely you would know that the M stands for exactly the same thing as your M3 did! & the Z3 M only weighs approx 1400 kg. NEXT

Pah!
CTR would struggle to keep up if the drivers were of the same standard. I guess it would have to be a darn windy road!!
Unless you mean CTR yellow bird?!!!!!
"So would a lot of performance cars these days" Not sure I agree much there. Like what? Most performance cars these days are very heavy, I still marvel at the Evo engine, there is not much out there 12 odd years later that can get close to it.
321PS ;-)
4.5 Cerbera would rinse the Z3MR. Actually it would rinse just about anything!

But it would also break down quicker! CTR would struggle to keep up if the drivers were of the same standard. I guess it would have to be a darn windy road!!

I realize the Cerb would murder any M3 but i was being sarcastic because of the OP saying that his mates Type R would keep up with an M3. Always fancied a Cerb myself but couldnt live with the build quality or running costs.
No problem. I never really found the build quality too much of a problem to be honest. I owned the same Cerb twice, including from new. Yes there were some issues, but not nearly as bad as you may think or hear about etc. General wear and tear... running costs... well they are a different matter. My £1.5k Clutch went again within 6k miles... you wouldn't expect that from your M3 clutch! Having said that, I did see a Lambo clutch replaced at 6k miles at around £6k. So putting it into context, then it's a cheap supercar to both buy (even from new) and run compared to say a Lambo. You just need to have a fairly substantial pot of free cash every year to keep her in tip-top condition. As with any car, whatever it is, the amount of cash you need is a function of age, original purchase price, and exclusivity w.r.t.
