Would've thought that the Elise was a bit too lardy for a bike engine version.

I have a solution for you, find it in Two bike engines blocks , one engine forum.
It's all very well saying that the elise is a bit lardy, but remember it's only got 120bhp in V1 form and I'm sure a Hayabusa engine is a fair bit lighter than a K-series. Less weight, more brrmmm!
Further: Go to the holeshot racing site and look in their gallery - there's a picture of the naked rear end (clamshell removed) of a laser blue MK2 Elise with a holeshot turbo-d engine installed!

Looks very tempting. Would be much faster than traditional supercars. Not sure how long the engine and clutch would last with hard, frequent use though.
