Anyone got any experience of "wrapping" an application within another program to enable it to run as a service on a Windows server?

We have a program which needs to start up and run without logging the server terminal on and physically running it. We cannot change the program itself. I'm sure there used to be a "run as service" setting somewhere in Windows but can't find it.

Any ideas? Cheers...

yep, there's a utility on the Server resource disk called srvany.exe. See MS web site for details...

All depends, whats the source of the application you want to run as a service?

Is it in house or bought?
