Just curious as we have the 20 week scan next week...

Also a 2nd question about the sex of the baby in there as well....

I'll let you know if I get my arm twisted next Friday!

First two we did but third one scan this coming week we will probably not find out this time, we have one of each already.

You should edit your poll so that respondents can only select one response.

Our hospital will not give you the sex, due to the risk of increased late termination if it's the 'wrong' sex.

I wouldn't choose to know anyway, especially as they have been known to get it wrong.

You may want to know the GENDER as sex is a physical act not a determiation of a human's physical genitalia.

We wanted to know beforehand.

Too many new experiences and surprises going on in the first few days as it is.

Both of our kids aggressively 'mooned' the radiographer during the scan to put the issue beyond doubt.

I didn't with my first, and I am not going to with my second baby due in July.

It does seem I am in a minority though as everyone is so surprised when I tell them I am not finding out the sex.

For me, it made the birth a little more exciting (if that's the right word lol) to not know whether its a boy or a girl until he/she arrives.

We had the 20 week scan yesterday.
Wife wanted to know, I wasn't bothered either way. Its our first and the wife wanted to plan the room etc. Anyway, its a boy!

Neither me nor Mrs Will were sure if we wanted to find out, but the nurse doing the scan let slip the word "her" at one point in the scan so we decided to ask to be sure.

It was our first though and we didn't really mind what the outcome was, now that I have a daughter next time it will be more difficult to decide, as I would like to have a boy as well to complete the set! hehe

Either way, it's a magical moment, so congratulations and enjoy it!

Blimey redface where's that?

We found out for #1 but won't for #2 - just for a change more than anything else. Scan is in a couple of weeks.

it's common in some hospitals here in the Black Country.

It isn't 100% accurate - it depends on the movement/position of baby/skill of radiographer
