Long story short.... been out and about with Little Ex today. One part required us calling a few lads over to help pull my car out of a field where we got stuck in the mud (don't ask, he's a rallying fan, Solberg, Loeb, Gonehome [sic]) - seemed like a great idea at the time.
Anyway, as we're sat waiting I go rooting through the glove box and find an old punk tape from way back (yup - feck you all... my car can play tapes
).
So, now my little 2&1/2 year old son is running round singing lines from Sham69 and Dead Kennedy's.
Uhohhhh 'Kill Kill Kill The Poor', 'Hurry up Harry. We're going down the pub.....'' 'Holiday in Cambodia'....
Wouldn't be so bad I guess, but this evening's bedtime You Tube session where we normally play a few nursery rhymes has descended into him demanding 'More Dead Kennedy's please Daddy....'

You should see him with some Bach playing!He's allowed pretty much anything he likes in music, I make a point of letting him hear as much as possible, be it classical, jazz, contemporary radio, what ever.
Must admit the DKs sound very tame to my ears nowadays as opposed to when I first heard them.

Wasn't a ditch. Took the car down to the bottom end of the field to collect some logs from a fallen tree. Took four attempts to get back up to the gate where I then got stuck in about 10" of mud. Was gutted, just didn't have enough speed to carry us through. Still the neighbours had a right laff at being called out to pull us through. Great stuff.

Other than that your acertation the California Uber Alles is the best DK song warrants some merrit, indeed though having a kindergarten kid singing 'Kill the poor' out loud might just surpass that....
