Anyone else watch this?

Loved the first series and reckon it's the best thing Duchovny's done since the X-files. I hope they can continue on the same theme for this new series smile

Thanks for the heads up.

Caught the last half it doesn't seem to have lost anything. As un-PC as ever. Set the serial link on Sky+.

Great start to the new season biggrin Think I'll record it from now on though as sticking two advert breaks into a 30 minute program is a bit much irked

And on a PH related theme, I'd totally forgotten he drives a 993 convertable! Totally suits the character cool

Thought he might managed to get that headlight fixed in the six months between series;)

But clearly its a handy plot device...

Season 2 is very good, not sure why each episode is so short and why there's only 12 as it's the best thing on TV.

I think it typifies the character, coupled with never cleaning the car, the Porsche has been covered in a layer of muck since the first episode. I think the Porsche for the character spells ironic freedom.

When he bought the brand new Porsche and subsequently was car jacked, (I think) his daughter remarked that the original dirty/damaged Porsche suited him better.

Agreed. Without wanting to diss Porsche cab owners, but it had to be a cab, don't you think? Its not the officianados Porsche choice, and with the disdain or contempt he holds it in, as if to say this the car your supposed to be seen looking beautiful or a mark of success in California, circ 1995-ish whatever, and he's wearing and treating it like a piece st, in the way his character says fk you to convention and the rules in the show.

Next week I'll dissect why the Quattro is all wrong in Ashes

I'm off to get a coffee, and finish watching the whole second series on DVD biggrin

(All because I ran into a clip on You Tube while searching for something else...)

And in an unrelated theme, for some reason I have a desire to move to LA and buy an old Porshe.

On now, Fiver +1 at 11

Had to google "Cleveland Steamer" found this http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cle...

I must have led a sheltered life! Although I recognised the BangBus straightaway.

Such a well written and well acted comedy.
