How Tall

Hi all, I don't own a TVR, yet! looking to get an early Griff in the spring (fingers crossed)been a dream since I first saw one...just waiting to pay off final debts!

My question is how tall is to tall for comfort? I'm 6ft 4" and don't care if I have to pour myself in!
just wanted to know if any other owners are taller etc.

Peter Wheeler (Mr TVR) is at least 6'4" and he makes damn sure he can fit in all the cars he makes, so I don't think you'll have any problems. Still, it might be a good idea to sit in one just to make sure before you buy it!

Am 6'4" myself and have no trouble in my S3, have also been in a griff with no problems.

I'm 6'5" and fit in - though I don't think I would like to be any taller as I feel I am about on the limit as regards what will fit heightwise.

Guess it also depends where you height is - personally I have a long back ( proportionally to the rest of me ) & the restriction I have is bumping my head on the roof rather than leg room.

Though I suppose you could never put the roof on ( I've had to keep it on recently as it hasn't stopped bloody raining ! )

I'm 6'2" and take 34" leg jeans and, as I like sitting fairly upright and close (compared to a lot of people) to the wheel, I have the seat in it's furthest forward position.

As an ex once said, I think an extra 2" could be accomodated quite easily

I'm 6'3" and the first time I sat in a Chimaera it was like coming home. I could look out through the windscreen without lowering the backrest to a silly angle. A car for normal height people.

I find it less than easy to get into Tuscans with the roof up, but once inside it's worth all the effort.

My brother is 6'6"1/2 and Peter Wheeler is still taller. He must be 6'8"! Test drive a few different ones, after proper seat adjustment it shouldn't be a problem.

On the other end of the scale I am 5' 6" And I have to have the seat fully forward to reach the pedals!! So Iguess they are catered for taller drivers.

The Griffs are that ace that you'd cut a hole in the roof to drive it if you had to!

I'm 6'5" with freakishly long legs and I don't have the seat right back in the Cerb although the back rest has to be fairly tilted so I can see through the letterbox!! I just watch whatever Clarkson has driven and take that as a guide he's 6'4" at least!

I have an early 92 Griffith and at 6'4" I have no problems at all - good legroom and headroom.

Theres only one problem with this website...it makes me want a tvr even more, now I can't stop dreaming about the day I pick one up!!

Yep, I'm 6ft 4 with a 37" inside leg and I can fit in my griff without any problems whatsoever. In fact, I don't even have the seat all the way back!!

Another good thing about this is that my other half who's 5ft 6 can't drive it as she's unable to press the pedals all the way down!

Not to worry, you can get extensions for the pedals so you can reach.

I'm only 5ft 4 1/2 ish (a real short @rse I know) and I can reach to press the pedals firmly down with the seat right forward and no extensions - I guess it does just depend on where your height is - legs or upper body!

Griff no problem! I'm 1.91

Tuscan seemed a bit tight first time I tried one. Second time someone took the seat padding out - so as you can fit in with a skid lid on - now that's clever!!!
