Maybe they've deliberately priced it like that so they can keep it as a showroom ornament, and make everything else look like good value in comparison.

Somebody will purchase it and 'Garage Queens' are going for serious money still. I would rather do a ground up resoration myself on a well used car but some people are obsessed by low mileage one owner cars.
Looks great but expensive. However I do know of somebody who recently spent over 30K on rebuilding his E30 from a wreck.

I've seen that car and it is stunning, Can't imagine there's many left like it.

£30K seams over the top to me but I wouldn't buy a drivers car with such low milage as just using it will devalue it. But having said that if an E30 M3 which is as it left the factory is what you want then this would be the car for you. I'm sure someone will pay near the asking price.

They've also got a lovely red (Evo 2 I think in at £25K ish)

That would be my preferred route, however by the time it was finished it would be more Sytner BTCC than concourse standard show car .... each to their own I guess
