Hi,
I am thinking of fitting an oil cooling unit to my S4C with a remote take off.
I am looking at this for two reasons, to get at the oil filter easier and to keep it cool.
Under the bonnet is a nice big space between the radiator and the engine. My oil cooler on my track Pug works great even when not under load.

Does anyone have any suggetsions or is it a question of just buying a standard unit and measuring the pipe lengths required?
Cheers, Steve.

I don't know what to suggest but Burton Power might be a good starting point.

I notice that Clever Trevor rolleyes sell an oil cooler kit that is listed as being suitable for the S series. May be worth a look, part number OC1

All you need is the right sandwich plate, a generic oil/air radiator, a few feet of hose and some end fittings. I don't see how any of this would be specific to the car.

For several years I had mine on the outside of the radiator mounting frame on the offside (horn and air filter take up the corresponding space on the nearside on mine). Make sure you get a sandwich plate with an integral stat.

The one on Clever Trevors website is imaginary, at least they do not do it even when you quote there own part number!
This is the worst part of sourcing parts for an S. I tried ordering up parts from TVRcarparts.com and out of the three sets of items ordered from there own website they have no supplier for 2 of them and the other is not in stock until "sometime soon" (same story for last two weeks).

I take it this is something S owners just put up with.

Hi Steve

Can be a problem sometimes - if you flag up on here or in the 'Parts Wanted' wiki very often you can be pointed in the right direction.

Good luck
