Seeing as I don't have any big mechanical things niggling away at my wallet (fingers crossed) I was thinking about getting the interior tidied up.

Questions time......
Can you get the steering wheel retrimmed as mine is looking the worse for wear?

The cloth parts on my door (half hide) are looking a bit shabby. How hard is it to get the leather and have the cloth replaced?

What exactly is re-connollising (spelling) and what does it do? Is it worth it or would a good leather cleaner do a similar job. My seats and trim are not too bad, mainly the steering wheel and the arm rest.

How much roughly do you think these things would cost?

Answers appreciated

Can't comment on the steering wheel but for a full retrim in leather with new Wilton carpets for a +2 (doing most of the work myself with a professional trimmer to do the seats & dashboard) cost around £1200.

Connolising, as I understand it, is more of a recolouring than just cleaning. You can have seats done in the same colour or darker. Best check with the folk that actually do it for the full and accurate story.

Must be able to - there's a lady at the factory that does nothing else all day but stitch leather round steering wheels you know!
