Not normally a problem but i need to replace my front number plate which is stuck on plastic stone chip protector film.
Armafend i think it's called will it pull it off when i try to remove old plate?
I'd suggest you gently warm the number plate a little with a hairdryer so that you soften the glue and then gently pull it away. Don't use too much heat or you'll blister them both.Armafend i think it's called will it pull it off when i try to remove old plate?

Yes but drill a small pilot hole first or it will split.Ive ordered a 3/4 plate that i will screw on can you selftap fibreglass?
Alternatively stick it onto very clean dewaxed fibreglass with the double sided tape as supplied. I fitted mine nearly 3 years ago now and it hasn't budged, see pic in profile

Removed the plate today and what a job took a hour and no fingers left.
Bugger wouldn't peel had to rub it with a cloth and burn my fingers with the hair dryer.
Then used turps to remove the glue.
Looking at it now plate ruins the look wonder how long it would be before i get a £30 fine
