Alloy wheels for chimps
Discussion
I have been chasing around for a set of wheels for my 96 Chimaera , 17"'s I am after , I am currently a manager for ATS so I can lay my hands on all sorts but given the offset of a Chimaera there is jack-shit available in the correct configaration , the offset is available for the front but it generally fits a Pug 206 so no centre-bore therefore will not mount , I think I will go for Kahn RSR's as the Raceline tends to date the car , it's a boring old wheel whereas the Kahn enhances the Chim , speak to Damien at Demon Tweeks he will email you some pictures of a Chim fitted with Kahn RSS's , they finish the car , one more spoke than RSR's but you will get the idea. Tell em I sent ya.
I've had a set of 17 rl7's on order for my chim since october, there due soon im told !!!!
I think the chim suits the same dia front and rear where as the griff due to its shape will take bigger at the back, you could squeaze 18in in there but i doubt the handling and ride would be as good..
Peninsula have the offsets as do compomotive although their mo is the only one that will fit ( they did a load of 17's for tvr malaysia)
I went for racelines for 2 reasons, 1) they keep the tvr look as they were fitted to the cerb
2) they are a strong wheel so if you do track days and take cerb you'll be fine. I've seen some of the more aftermarket wheels on xr3 type motors break hitting the cerbs or going into the gravel...

That's exactly the idea. There is an excellent tyre/wheel size calculator on Steve Heath's web site. Take a look at www.tvrbooks.co.uk/ and follow the link to FAQ and Tyres. Rich...
