Hey guys I need some help,

I try to install Mcafee from the CD, but message pops up that says I need to uninstall Norton Corporate edition first.
Only I don't have the disk and there is no Norotn or Symantec file or any manner of uninstaller that I can use.
Please help 'cos I'm not sure how to get rid of it so that I can install the correct verison of Mcafee

Thanks in advance

What happens if you do an Add/Remove program and select it from the list? Or you could do a search for .msi file types and see if there is one for it. You should be able to remove from that.

Why would you want to do that?

Symantec/Norton is the market leader....

I see what you mean but the thing is I thought I had uninstalled it, but when I try to install Mcafee I get the message that I have Norton when there are no Norton files on my machine.

I tried searching for .msi files, but there wasn't one for Norton.

Thanks for your help, and keep it coming Guys'

As said before - is it not in add / remove programs?

Last resort maybe delete the Norton key from HKLM->Software->Norton - McAfee Installer may be checking this.
