RROD - how long is new warranty?

Well my 360 went after 3 years and I now have a replacement. Can't argue with the service, quick replacement and new one works fine.

Comes with a letter saying MS have registered the warrranty for the replacement console - so is this for 1 year of a fresh 3 year RROD warranty?

Can someone confirm?

I think it's a 1 year warranty, that's what I go when mine died, but I had to pay for my repair.

But I'm not 100% certain

I think if it was a general fault, and you had to pay for it to be fixed then you are in the same boat as me, and you'll have 1 year. It was £60 for the repair and it was like having a new one, which is why I paid for the repair.

did not pay, it was a free replacement unit from MS
