dsc: "What plans do you have for the Cup Class?"

SR: "I need to make it clear that FIA GT regulations are understood everywhere. They are well defined regulations, put together by talented people. So we have homolgation rules that are tough – but they can be eased back to help manufacturers whose cars aren’t homologated for FIA GT races.

Regarding the Cup cars, I will stick to what exists now, apart from not allowing the cars such as a Clio and a Golf. They are not GT cars"

So no Renault Clio in 2004! It's official, it is not a GT car!

Well, this is old news, it was posted on DSC over a week ago!

But no-one has actually announcd Ratel officially yet as the series organiser. We can live in hope that he doesn't do it, I guess.

Ben, what connection do you have with John75, or John Cowen, couldn't find any reference to him at Atlanta, is he part of your team? Just mildly curious.

Atlanta's connection with John Cowen is we have tested a few of the drivers he looks after. He has no formal connection with the team.

James, why are you so delighted that the clio (allegedly) wont be running next year?I don't think you are really qualified to comment(as you told me I wasn't).Maybe you could enlighten the class as to what GT cars and drivers you entered in 2003?Erm,NONE I think was the number. So why don't you shut up about it and go back to your own playground.

Give it a rest Stiggy. If you've got some personal gripe with James then sort it out in the real world not hiding behind a keyboard.

Vick, Do we Really need you to vent your frustration at James on here, just because he's helping to forward racing careers and other people in the industry. If your jealous of James then how bout working with him instead of against him!

Is he? Well its not frustration, its a legitimate allegation. Mr name dropper shouldnt go around telling influential people lies about myself and others. It does more harm than good especially to those he is trying to promote as people will no longer take him seriously, if though dont already. You should be more careful Richard. You will learn I am sure.

I've seen both sides to this story and whilst some of the vitreole (sp?) being spouted here is unfair, James doesn't always make life easy for himself with some of his comments either.

Let's all step back now and discuss cars rather than each other.
