Rear screen washer not working

As the title says the rear windscreen washer on my Cooper S isn't working. - no water comes out. I do have water in the resevoir.
The fronts jets spray water and the wiper blade at the back works but no water comes out. The pump makes a sound as if it should be sending water to the back of the car but nothing comes out.

I have cleaned the jet using a needle but still nothing. Could it be the nut holding the rear wiper on and through which the water must pass needs changing?

Any help would be greatfully received.

Remove the inside plastic cover. This is held on by about 6 Philips screws and a few clips. You can then get access to the incoming pipe and see whether water is getting to the assembly.
