Having just measured my garage to find a diablo is too wide im now thinking about changing my lovely 911 turbo for something Ferrari. Does anyone here use there 355 daily, thats not the plan but neither was using the 911 so much. I looked at a 360 but i feel i would be better off buying a 355 and keeping the extra money for expences. The 355 is still a beautiful car and i would be more than happy with one. I do a maximum of 20 miles a day and at the moment plenty more on the weekend, weather dependant! Im yet to road test the 355 properly but i popped into the local dealer and they are getting me a manual 360 and 355 in to try.( dont want the F1 box).

Yea,I've had my 355 Spider for 2 and a half years and use it in all weathers.Suppose I may have just been lucky but i've had a new radiator fan motor,a clutch,2 sets of rear tyres and just ordered a new set of fronts.I bought it from a main dealer with 9000 miles on and it now has over 30k on it.I don't give a monkeys for the depreciation it just gets driven everywhere! On the other hand it has a check every 3 months by Strasse in Leeds and a service every 6.The hood leaks occasionally which is common on a spider, but its never let me down.I run a 4 wheel drive too,but do about the same mileage in each. Its also been decatted and runs with a tubi, fantastic sound.Normal servicing bills are around £300 to £500 but its just in for a belts service which is going to be £1500 or so(every 3 years).I think like every other Ferrari, just look after it and hopefully it'll look after you! Best of luck

had 2 355s and done about 40K in total.

Servicing seems to be £600 for standard service and £1600 for cambelt change.

Be aware of the exhaust manifold issue with these cars they dont last long generally! have a search at www.ferrarichat.com to see the posts on this!

One could use such a car everyday but its going to end up a bit worse for wear! not to mention very heavy losses on resale. I was very much against the F1 box but thought I would try it and after a few weeks really love it for the open road! depends what you want really.

Check that your intended purchase has had the dynatrol rust treatment - they dont like salt!!!
