Only went and photographed an A-lister!

ETA - Keira Knightley, as in from Pirates of the caribbean, Atonement etc 17 oscar wins and 38 nominations.



I was pretty pleased, especially when consdering the almighty security. Im not sure even the pro's with their 5 grand lenses managed it, happier than ever that i purchased the 50-250 now!

Well done Leighton. Top pic. Amazing you got within clicking distance really, and spot on for getting eye contact.

Any professional pic of Keira will have been extensively though the PS mill, so will obviously look like a stunning pic. If photographed in a natural setting (as you did) isn’t going to look anything like the “normal“ pics we get to see on a daily basis.

Money or not I hope your chuffed with yourself. Good capture and well done.

-L's shot has a very harsh lightsource striking at quite an angle. shows up all the rough bits on her skin. the other shot is lit with a nice soft lightsource coming in allmost parrallel with the lens. this flattens out the skin, it will still be re-touched but won't show anywhere as many imperfections as L's.

-That barnet. it's all over the show, nuff said.

-L's shot isn't giving the lovely kiera the chance to pose. her mouth is shut in the studio pic. looks like there is a good reason for that.

-the sunlights not doing much for her eye's either. they are in shadow. no catchlights. squinting.

heat ect would love this shot no doubt! try them out L. i have a couple of contacts that deal with the gossip mags if you want me to put the feelers out?

People in my office were squealing about this yesterday - she is in Clevedon filming for a period drama. It's easy around here because the vast majority of the residents haven't moved out of the 19th century.

Having been there and done that, the photo is practically worthless. There is nothing of interest to any of the magazines or newspapers. Maybe send it to Heat for their readers photos, you might get £200 if yours is picked.
