Hi chaps,

I am having real issues with the cretins at the insurance company that are 'valuing' my car. They have given me a value that is about 7k from where it should be according to Sebring's and racing green. The 'valuers' will not take any notice of the valuations of the garages and ignore the adverts that I have sent them.

Does anyone know an independant company that will be able to value my car before I start threatening these degenerates with solicitors?

Are Rob Ingleby or James Aggar options?

I'd just brief a solicitor now Mark and be done with it. If they want to mess about further, then they can pay your legal costs too. Beware that 'these people' often read forums wink

Just spoke to Rob Ingleby and he is going to do a valuation for me. Europa consultants which is anniesdad's firm is going to be handling it from here.

Smart move..

I had terrible problems when I wrote off the Griff last year, eventually I was paid over 40% more than the first offer I was given but I had to work really hard for it.

I sent two valuations, one from a main dealer & one from an independant garage, but the insurance company refused to budge. Making direct contact with one of the directors of the (rather well known) broker helped no end but it was still a struggle.

Good luck.
