I was wondering if there were any pro users of Photoshop on here.

I've tried to edit the picture of my car on my profile but not had much luck, was wondering if someone could attempt it for me and send me the final result.

What i want to do is:
1) Get rid of the tyre marks on the ground, and if possible
2) Make it look like my headlights and fog lights were on although they werent, someone said this could be done but i havent got the foggiest.

IF any one can have a go that would be much appreciated

Cheers

(while you were correct to put the request in the computers section, I've moved it to the photography forum for you where there are a whole host of amateur and professional photoshop users who i'm sure would be able to help. thumbup )

If you really care how...

  • Cloned out the tyre marks with a low percentage and soft edged brush
  • Made a Selection of the Lights, cutting around the indicators
  • Feathered the Selection by 1pixel
  • Filled with White on a New Layer and repeated until the brightness felt right
  • Set the Layer to 'Hard Light' Overlay at a slightly lower Percentage
  • Flattened it
  • Applied the lens Flair Filter to the Layer with the Focus on one Light and again on one Foglight
  • Job Done lol!
It is not technical, just faffing to make it look right biggrin

Oh, and somewhere in there blurred one of the Light Layers as well to refract the light a bit.

I assume you have HID's? I think it would look more like this.

...try this for easy headlamps......

1 Make a new layer above the vehicle.

2 Fill this layer 100% black.

3 Change this layer to Colour Dodge.

4 With a white brush (slightly larger than the headlamps), draw a "dot" on the layer over the left light.

5 Go Edit>Fade and fade the brush mark to correct bloom opacity

6 repeat steps 4 & 5 using a smaller brush towards the centre of the headlamp.

7 When the desired effect is achieved for the left headlamp, duplicate this later.

8 Drag the duplicated layer to the right headlamp.

....see what you think - Easy!

Thought a bit of lense flare might add a touch of realism .

True didnt think about that, plus dont want to hassle you too mucsh as you've probably got a lot on with college, they look great though!

I may get you to do some with the wheels at some point as i want to get them re-sprayed but would like to see what they look like before i do them, think you took sime side shots of the car at gatwick.

should have done the lights the natural way, turned on!

Those lense flairs are completely unrealistic, too uniformed and very much like a cheap effect used in some low budget sci-fi film

Yep, photoshop lense flair is always frowned upon.
