Had my inspection 1 today and require new discs.
This seems like a better time than most to upgrade them so what should I go for? The stock discs seemed ok, faded when pushed pretty hard but overall I was happy with them. Is it worth my replacing the discs with standard stock items and then upgrading the pads when they go or should I do both?
Thanks - any help is welcome.

Just done mine both front and rear disks and pads. Got the Mintex sets off ebay.
For the front you may well find the retaining bolt for the disk will not budge so if you can get a friendly garage to use an impact gun on it then that would save a lot of time. Also the rear pistons rotate in so you need a rewind tool.

Not being over technical myself can I assume that if I took the above mentioned discs and pads to my local spanner man he would be able to fix them to the car?For the front you may well find the retaining bolt for the disk will not budge so if you can get a friendly garage to use an impact gun on it then that would save a lot of time. Cost £116 for all round disks and pads and postage. Just beware of the front retaining bolt as I had to grind them off - the rears were a breeze as have every car I have ever done this on. From memory you need a T45 and T50 torx and a 16mm socket and a way to rewind the rears.
