leather cleaner?

seem to have a small patch of something on the leather that wont come off, have tried , halfwits leather cleaner, soapy water, white spirit, nothing does the trick, looks like it might be a thumb print of something that may have been sticky or oily ...any suggestions? really annoying me now..

Have you tried these? Petrol, Industrial Alcohol, Meths.

Saddle soap. Found in horsey shops. This can be used on all types of leather. Recommended by a friend with horses, but have not tried it on mine yet. Either way, it won't harm your leather!

Mrs Dai Capp is the Tuscan interior cleaning guru and heartily recommends the Zymol leather cleaner followed by a good leather feeder (I think she uses Sheratons)...

I used Autoglym leather cleaner followed by their leather care stuff and it worked a treat. I was a bit worried about it leaving a shiny finish but it didn't Rich...

I use Liquid leather,a PH neutral cleaner and a leather sort of moisturiser to feed the leather.Both have the leather smell in them which makes the cabin smell great and they really do get the ingrained dirt out if you use regularily.

I've been recommended and since tried Granny's Soap Flakes (or equivelent available in Tesco). Mix in water and agitate with a softish brush. Much better than the Autoglym stuff for occasional cleaning.
