Brake upgrade to 260mm discs and XR4x4 Calipers
Discussion
Finally got round to doing this today (still haven't done the servo and master cylinder though). All in took about an hour and a half, but bled he brakes and got no bubbles. Took the car onto the road (fortunately I live in a dead end with no traffic)and applied brakes - foot went to floor
Pumped brakes and got some effect allowing me to stop.
Put car back on drive and re-bled the brakes, got a large bubble of air out of both sides OMG guess I didn't bleed enough through first time as all work fine now, just need them to bed in, but cheddar gorge run should be good for that.
However the crux is I now have a pair of 240mm calipers and slides 2x240mm almost new discs and matched pads (10% worn) and a new set of pads going spare (for free) if anyone wants them. PM me if you do and we'll arrange a way to get them to you (P&P would cost more than they are worth).
Cheers
