I saw one for sale today at subaru dealers. It was the car that given to colin mcreas co-driver when they won the WRC. It has 350 bhp and sounds and looks amazing. he showed me reciepts that were made to the car (engine mods) one reciept was for £10,000. its an S REG(98) and he has it up for £29.995 but says hell take £28,500. Any opinions on these cars are welcome.

Hardcore and insane.

Not driven either, but conventional wisdom has it that the P1 is better suited to british roads.....

Well, there's a few things to weigh up - do you want a modified 22b? If so, then this is a good value way of getting there.
If not, then you have a 22b that has been modified (will decrease the value to some people)

Positives of 22b: Exclusivity, looks, probably hold it's value better than most Imprezas.
Negatives: expensive, many unique body parts, so bad news if you prang it...

If you want 350BHP from an Impreza, you can get there a lot cheaper than £28.5K (Buy an STiIV & spend £8K on it)

Exactly what I had heard/read too.

I still think the 22b is THE classic Scooby.

This will ulimately be the one people want in years to come. With the McRae history this could be an investment.
