What type of memory card are you looking at? SD card? Compactflash (or CF), or Sony memory stick ?
Memory cards come in different sizes, and different speeds, which all effect price. Also, some companys are rip offs! A lot of cards can come from the same factorys in china, yet some companys will stick their brand on them, and mark up the price
It's all about speed (as well as a decent manufacturer - i.e. Sandisk). Buy a fast card and it will let you take photos in a 'burst' and they will get written to the card swiftly, letting you take more photos sooner. (Not that important for landscapes!)
However, the camera needs to be up to the speed of the card. Chuck a Sandisk Ultra 111 into a D50 and the write speed won't be any quicker than a bog standard cheapo jobbie.
I use pixmania.com. Good service.

we've used http://www.mymemory.co.uk/ beofre at work- we found them through amazon, then found theyre much cheaper through their own website!
the Kingston CF cards are pretty good value on there, and Ive been caining a 16gig 133x speed one for months and months now, in a video camera, and its proved reliable.
the 32 gig didnt work out as good value as two 16
Anything faster than 133x speed can get quite pricey, but it depends on what type of shooting you do if you need faster

Same here, six of them and all 100% reliable. Worth the usual comment about not going overboard capacity wise, stick to something that will hold a max of about 150-200 shots on your camera. That way if you have a card corrupt, or drop one (like I do all the time!) you won't loose a whole holidays worth. Maybe 2 or 4gb max on todays 10mp DSLRs.Very true about the sellers being more expensive on Amazon. It's obviously because theres a charge that has to be accounted for if they sell on Amazon, but if you get the product direct on thier site, you can get it cheaper, like I did with this seller: http://www.gomemory.co.uk
