Uniroyal Rainsport 2 on an E-Class?
Discussion
Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any experience of these tyres on an E-Class.
I need two back tyres and have never been impressed by the original fit Conti tyres as for the money I don't think the grip is fantastic and they aren't cheap.
I'm not one to skimp on tyres (normally favouring Michelin) but the Uniroyal rainsport 2's seem to get good magazine write-ups, and they appear good value for money if they perform as well as they're made out to - can anyone confirm this?
I'm also open to other suggestions on a 225/55 16 tyre if anyone has any! I live in Scotland so the tyre needs to have good wet weather traction as well as dry, and i don't mind a stiffer sidewall if it helps the barge handle better.

I tried Michelin and Contis before settling on Eagle F1's i love them on my Merc, great in the wet and dry
Cheers, I had considered the Eagle F1 GSD3 but after reading reviews on tyrereview.co.uk I was put off a bit, they do get good reviews for excellent wet and dry grip but lots of complaints about them being very poor in the snow (which granted is only a few days each year) and for wearing quickly.I'm actually considering the Uniroyals as I haven't found a bad review, only thing is I haven't found many reviews at all, so its hard to have a balanced view on them.

18,000 miles, my original fit Conti's are nearly on the markers after 11,000 miles and the Conti's I had on my old C-Class only got 13,000 (both sets on the rear) - I'd be delighted with 18,000 - might give the Eagle F1s a go after all!
