Daytona USA

With a version of Outrun Arcade released has anyone heard if SEGA are working on a version of Daytona USA for the XBox360?

I remember a version for their SEGA Dreamcast coming out a few years ago but it doesn't seem to have generated an appetite for a new release.

I think the Saturn was the last console they brought any Daytona games out for. I had both. Would be great to see it as an XBLA title, or even if they do a Saturn Collection at some point, with some other classics like Panzer Dragoon, Nights etc.

That would be excellent - Daytona USA was superb when you had a 4 way race with the decent machines that moved and the big screens.

I always remember daytona on the saturn being a bit of a disappointment - the draw distance was appalling!!

Didn't stop me playing it for weeks and weeks after I got my Saturn, finally found the codes online (was the first game I used the internet to lookup cheats for) which unlocked all the hidden cars and the horse, favourite car was a green one that was seriously quick, but had very low grip so it was great fun to drift round the tighter of the 3 courses.

Yeah i remember seeing that one but i never got to try it.

Always went for the hard manual one on the arcade though - downshift to 3rd and back to 4th quickly to get a power slide going

Yep, had Daytona and Daytona CCE on Saturn. Wasn't there a Daytona 2 on DC???
