Bosch Exxcel washer dryer problems, steam out of tray

Hey all
anyone got experience with the following problem? during the drying stage on my exxcel washer/ dryer steam starts to come out of the filler tray where you insert washing powder/ detergent, the clothes still dry tho.
would rather not call out a washing machine tech just yet, my mate had one come to him, all he done was take of the lid of his washing machine and press a red button and charged him £90 lol
