Hockey Skates... In the 80s....
Discussion
Off the back of the skateboarding thread... I never really got into skateboarding but a large chunk of my teenage years were spent hooning around the pavements clad in a pair of these:

Bauer 'Turbo' hockey skates
The options for wheels, trucks, bearings and bushes were just as extensive as for skateboarding, the tricks and stunts we all nearly killed ourselves doing were just as impressive.
By the number of skaters I used to know in my area, there must be other PHers who will admit to their first wheels being a pair of skates?

Ah ha! My thread at last. I was an oddball...
Roces boots, but a Bauer Turbo undercarriage, Mad Dog wheels, slighlty wider trucks and SKF speed bearings. I think they are still in my folk's loft.
They saw much mileage at Rollers in Milton Keynes....
