Thats where I got mine - they are only down the road.
Still had to file the wishbone hole bigger.
Probably didn't help that I'd had my wishbones powder coated.

Got their details from your post Chris - but there has been some confusion. One ball joint had a piece of paper in the bag which indicated QH as the manufacturer, The other didnt and was avery different design. The QH one would need some minor grinding of the lower wishbone, which i expected the other didnt. In view of the comments regarding them locking up and breaking Sutton have agreed to take them back and ensure that I get QH product. very good service

Did you guys have trouble getting onto the bolt heads (especially the shorter one)? think I'll be replacing them with cap screws

I didn't but the V8S wishbone is longer so that might have helped.

Kev First Line were the first one I got with no problem at the local factors but there was a post a while ago which referred to lower ball joints locking up and breaking on Chims when the wrong after market joints were fitted. I've searched and cant find it now but I think Barkychoc brought it up. The implication at that time was that the QH joints were the correct ones. Thats why I have exerted myself to get them.

The problem is that some ball joints do not have enough degrees of articulation - so maximum suspension deflection is achieved when the bottom ball joint hits the side of the balljoint cup - which can in adverse conditions cause the balljoint to fracture and detach from the bottom wishbone.

Compare your old balljoint with the new one - I had one that was easy to see the difference and had no where near as much articulation as the old one (from Sutton Auto Factors too Norman).

got mine from "Car Spares", several branches around Birmingham. Manufacturer is "First Line" certainly as much articulation as originals, holes line up perfectly (nuts and bolts included but not long enough for TVR)and enough room to get socket on bolt, old ones head too close to casting could only get open end spanner on. Part No. FBJ 5086 and all for £11.35 each !
