I haven't posted here for a few weeks as I finally got a new job which has been keeping me very busy. I did manage to get time off though for a trip to the Canadian Rockies last week. It really is a fabulous place for photography, here are some of my pics:

1. Morant's Curve

2. Johnson Lake

3. Bow Valley Parkway

4. Vemillion Lake

5. Icefields Parkway

6. Emerald Lake

7. Lake Minnewka

8. The hire car

9. Canadian Car Wash

Taken in the car park at Lake Minnewka. These guys would lick your car clean while you wait, but they weren't really that thorough...

10. Appropriate footwear

Nice pictures and hoped you really enjoyed your stay and would reccommend the area to others. Sounds and looks like you really enjoyed your holiday. Luckily we are close to the areas you visited and can go there anytime to view the beauty. The last 2 weeks our weather has been alot warmer (averaging +10 to +14 degrees C.)and we are losing the snow and ice on the lakes. The up side to that is we are getting closer to TVR driving conditions and we can use 1 of our 3 TVRs to view the same areas that you visited wearing T-shirts and NO snowshoes. You should try for another visit in the summer or fall when there is lots of color.

PS. I try not to use the "Canadian carwash" that you used as I find it to be spotty.

Yes 3 Tivs but they are all pre 1980.
1973 supercharged 2500M
1979 Ford V8 Taimar
1978 Ford V8 Taimar stroked to 347 Cu. In.

Looks like they had a good holiday....

We toured the Canadian Rockies a few years back.

To me it is equal first for scenery in the world. Its partner at the top being Fiordland in New Zealand's South Island.

Lovely shots, BTW.

I'd love to go back.

While I was there I did think it would be great to be driving a TVR on those roads!

Each time I've been there I've been caught out by hearing a throaty V8 exhaust note, turning to see what sports car is making the noise and then see its coming from a pick up...

Well next trip if you play your cards right you possibly could experience the thrill of " A Tiv on those roads. " Would have to be before the cars get put to bed for the winter. Send me an e-mail from my profile. While on the profile, check out my stable of TVRs.

PS: If you are getting homesick while in Canada, we have an Ultima just down the street.... I think he left some of his furniture in the UK so the car would fit in the container.

Lovely stuff, well done!

Makes me wish for anything more than a small hillock around these parts.
