Just seen that they are sending out new Sky Cards to everyone. Says this will stop problems with viewing.

Does anyone know what the new card is for?

Is this the right forum? or does it want to be in TV & Films?

New encryption. Sky have to send out new cards with new encryption out every 4 or 5 years to comply with regulations. The encryption has never been broken but the rules say that this has to be done.

Will the old cards remain valid, ie for those with Sky 'freeview' boxes?
