That's nice, I really like it.

What camera/lens/settings etc?

Thanks.

Details are:
Nikon D40, 18-70 f3.5-4.5 G, 18mm, 1/2 sec, f8, ISO 200, Manual mode, Preset WB.
I then mirrored it using GIMP. No other processing.

Sarcasm?

I ask as there are quite a few flaws I don't like in the image. I could photoshop/GIMP them out. Yet for me, I quite like how it looks overall. Not my best work, but just curious to know what others think.

I still get a red cross and between this morning and now there are 200 miles and 2 ISP's difference. I did take a look at the image link and saw it, exposures nice but thats about all I can say about it as its not my cup of tea

Honestly, it looks like a holiday snap that's had an 'easyphotoshopeffects.com' mirror applied.

Did you shoot it in RAW? Might work as an HDR shot, personally I would lose the mirror thing.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, I don't mean to be rude, just my honest opinion.

If you re shoot it you might want to consider lighting the statue somehow (off camera probably)I find it distracting as it's under exposed on my screen.

I've been meaning to experiment with HDR. Unfortunately all my snaps to date are JPGs as the D40 doesn't let you capture RAW and same resolution JPGs at the same time.

There is quite a lot of level in the statue already. Not sure reshooting is wise. Security chased me off due to my dangerous looking tripod. rolleyes

Now rather than moan about the missing pic, I'm sure some of you could have posted it for him?

Or maybe because you were on private property? A lot of the area around Tower Bridge is privately owned even if public are granted access.

As said, it's all a bit tourist shot with added PS filters for my liking.

First impression - I liked it.

That was slightly muted when I realised it was one shot mirrored, but I still think it works because it's striking.

I wonder if by changing the shooting point slightly, you could have got the bridge to 'hinge' on the red dot, instead of ending in mid-air which doesn't make sense...?
