After 4 months of engine rebuilds, interior re-trimming and failed MOT's, I have finally had my poor performance and rich mixture problem identified.
Apparently one of my injectors is shot. I hadn't even noticed that cylinder 4 isn't firing. So my next question is does anybody know the part number for the standard S injectors or know where I can get one (new or secondhand).
I'm running different injectors to the standard ones so do not have the right part code.

Cheers guys

Not sure if it applies but the colour of the body of the injector may be a clue.

Dont you need to get one that matches the different ones your using?? or are they just equivalents and not upgrades.

MM ...don't you remember this post of yours? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

From what you said you'll need another Bosch 0280-150-727. Now if you want to substitute another model of injector for all 6 then you need to confirm what pressure your fuel pressure reg is running at.

Yeah, I remember the post.
The issue is I can't find any of my current injectors (Bosch 0280150727) for sale. The idea was to replace the broken one with an standard S fuel injector or one with similar specs to my current injectors. So far, I've been completely unsuccessful, with injectors only available from America and most won't ship to the UK.
Would it be better to try and get my knackered one fixed, replace it for the short term or replace the whole lot (expensive). Is there anywhere that rebuilds injectors or does anybody know where I can get a spare one? I'll run the car with a standard one if it gets me to Le Mans.
I don't think my fuel pressure has been altered as I'm still running the standard fuel pressure valve.

cheers Ad

If you can't find any then I might consider selling my spare set of 280-150-727 injectors. It would have to be the complete set because less than 6 would be no use to me.

Mail me if you're interested.
