I took the GTR out last weekend and opened up the clips today to find wet/hygroscopic rocksalt all over the place . Fortunately I hosed the whole car off and there's been no corrosion to the ally' . This is just a warning to others who eat their meals off the chassis that there is still salt about .

Salt: uhm, I guess that means you went to the salt flats to run top end speed with, is it Major Green? that most have been fun, how fast will the Ultima go with 5 miles to get to speed? Now that you are back in Jolly Old England how long before you guys get to drive on the streets again? Must be a pain to put your toys in the garage for 4 or 5 months every winter. We have missed at least 4 or 5 days due to rain in Southren California this year. What a pain. Lee

The salt referred to is put on the roads during winter to stop them icing. Trucks go out in the early hours of a frosty morning spreading a combination of salt and grit on the road.

My car is out and about throughout the winter.
