All Corvettes are red

This time last year I mail ordered a "Smoothie" license plate surround in torch red body color. Looked nice, but the paint has peeled off through the summer and the supplier replaced FOC.

However, it seemed a mystery to me why the paint failed so early. Removed part from car, quick rub with abrasive, squirt of plastic primer and off to the shops to find some matching spray paint.

Was the nearest match Ferrari Rosso? No.
Lambo Flame Red? No.
Anything remotely exotic? No.
NISSAN RED 526? That's £3.99 and thank you for your custom sir.

Such humiliation......

I have a black number plate surround with 'Corvette' underneath . No good to me as I bought a ZR1 in the end so its too small. Ideal for a C4..
