Just had a go on the Bahrain circuit, Williams-Toyota. Option 3 tyres in upgrades as required for Bahrain, Medium/Hard options.
Default setup. Medium tyres, ABS off, TC off - 1m35.555s So I'm as fast as Christian Albers, last man on the grid for the race in 07
http://www.mercia.biz/rfactor/F1/Bahrain-MMG07-Wil...
I don't trouble a few apexes and brake too early in some and too late in others but not enough to lock up a tyre.

Edited to add, how weird is this - http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2007/772/63...
I'm driving as Nico Rosberg and his fastest race lap in 2007 was 1:35.556 within 1/1000th of a second of mine!

I've just finished a session at Bahrain, using the same settings you suggested with a couple of changes; I used Kimi's Ferrari, increased the default steering lock to 19.5 degrees and turned off tyre wear and fuel usage. Although the car was filled with 2.4 gallons, enough for about 2 laps.Default setup. I had to learn the track first, but after about 50 laps I posted a 1.35.279.
I'm not consistent yet and it was a bit scruffy, I was pushing to get that time and I will need more practise before I'm really ready to race. There is more in the car but with the default set it was oversteering a bit in the last sector and I was struggling to get the power down in one of the fast turns.
I'm also getting a strange vibration in the 3rd to last corner, it lasts from around the apex and then into the braking zone for the next turn, and I was having to brake a bit earlier than necessary. Did you get that?

I get it into the slow right (Turn 8) and turn 14 which is the one onto the long back stretch before the final corner.I just need to set my head to F1 braking distances as we've testing the Touring Car Legends for the PH league.

Edited to add. The Ferrari is quicker than the Williams. I just had another 10 laps or so in the Ferrari, braking later and I've never changed down so fast with a gear lever before
Still wasn't the best lap, got a bit out of shape out of the first couple of corners and the slow left hand hairpin halfway round.1m33.2s - http://www.mercia.biz/rfactor/F1/Bahrain-MMG07-Fer...
One thing I have noticed is despite checking and double checking I have ABS off I can't get the tyres to lock up under braking. Anyone else manage it?

Odd it only does it with the MMG07 mod, a MAS error usually means that the searchpath in the SCN for the MAS file is looking in the wrong place for the MAS file. Usually happens when someone manually installs a track and misses out an upper folder. But having it load up with the GP2 mod and BMW means this can't be the case.
Well done, that's a quick time, I'm going to have to work at this.
I couldn't find anything about ABS in the upgrades tab, the only aid option was TC which is at the lowest setting by default, and I think it may override the TC on/off option. Pulling away from a standstill doesn't seem to provoke wheelspin as promptly as I would expect.
I would suggest having a look at your control settings to make sure you are getting full deflection on the brake pedal. (I don't know why I'm telling you this, you will probably only go faster
)

One thing I have found though is I think ABS is always on, depending on the setting in the upgrades tab for the car, so the lowest you can have on is 10% because I had it on the default setting 1 in the upgrades but made sure I had ABS off by pressing F9 (or F8 whichever one it is) and I still couldn't lock a brake/tyre.
I've only tried the Ferrari on the default set but it was very easy to lock up, especially at the front. The only driving aid I use is auto clutch, I don't know if any of the others such as stability control / opposite lock have the ability to modulate the brakes.I couldn't find anything about ABS in the upgrades tab, the only aid option was TC which is at the lowest setting by default, and I think it may override the TC on/off option. I meant ABS, but looked at TC in the upgrades, that's off anyway.I would suggest having a look at your control settings to make sure you are getting full deflection on the brake pedal. (I don't know why I'm telling you this, you will probably only go faster
)I did make sure I had ABS off during the game and my brake controls go all the way, I've had that issue before. Maybe it's just my braking style. Next time I'm on I'll try a high speed and full brake to standstill and see what happens.
I had another go, my best is now 1.34.886 but it's hard work.
I watched your replay FWD, it looks good, much much more planted under braking than mine, maybe I just need to practise threshold braking more. I usually drive GT and WTC cars at the Nordschleife (GTR Evo) so I'm having to acclimatise as well.

I cant get Bahrain to load using the F1 2007 mod. Its fine with gp2, DTM and the meganes but with F12007 is comes up with a MAS error and crashes to desktop.
I did drive it using the BMW F1 that comes with the game. Didnt make any changes to the car but did a 1.34.968 after 6 laps
