After considering what to buy for a while I picked up a Nikon D40 on Sunday as I thought it would be ideal to learn. So I went for a bit of a shoot earlier. Heres what I got from the first shoot, c+c would be great, thankyou

Interested to see them (when fixed) as I am also posting my 1st pics at the mo, would be nice to have a comparison smile

had been using the std lens until yesterday, finding it easier with the new lens, not so restrictive, what is the std one?

no Canon 450 now with a 18-270.

Weirdly my automotive shote of the Enzo (automotive pics thread) were of the same ilk & I quite like the effect, wonder if we are a little dated confused

Be good to have a beginners sticky at the top of the forum that the more experienced guys could critic, maybe they could pull out the best ones for 'best of beginners' thread.

Be handy to know how they would have gone about the shot & what they would have done differently.
