For those of you who read about my troubles with an ex of mine whom I finished with this past January, it would seem after
reporting her to the police for harrassment and changing my number would have been the end of things..

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Troubles have started again last Friday 2am when I heard loud banging on my door, looked at the spyhole and the bh is
wanting a 'chat', I refused to open the door initially and told her to GTF but relented as she started shouting in the flat
hallway so asked her to keep it quiet before opening my door. Went out to the hallway for a talk and made it clear that I did
not want to engage in further conversation or want any contact from her ever as advised by the Police.

As expected, she launched a load of verbal abuse and after sleeping through it standing up for 45mins (and ignoring her) she
had enough and took off. Good riddence obviously.

However, fast forward to last Thursday 1am before I went to bed, looked out the window and saw a piece of paper on my car
windscreen. Went downstairs to check straightaway and what appears to be 1 piece of paper turned out to be a 2 bits of paper taped down
with masking tape with the sign 'wet paint' on the windscreen and roof. Never had any bother parking either of my cars or bikes
ever outside my flat in 5 years so had 1 guess as to who might be responsible...

Called the police straightaway and was given a 2nd incident no. but they couldn't do anything. Drove the car to a fuel station to see if there
was anything poured over my car but thankfully there was no other damage mad

Then yesterday morning, I went out to chuck something out to the bins and discovered the back end of my car was peppered with eggs. To say
I was livid was an understatement. It would be obvious she is trying to provoke me into going up to her place to confront her but as the Police
had said best thing is to ignore and hope she would get bored. If she came up to the flat, I've been advised to contact the authorities to have
her removed.

Didn't want to take a chance and parked my car at my parents house and cycled back to my flat - I'm only 15 mins by cycle thankfully so at
least my car and motorbike is safely tucked up in their garage. Thankfully she doesn't know where my parents live.

Can't really believe she would be so bitter to the point she would do something so juvenile (I had my suspicion as she had threatened to do something
to my car before). Didn't take her seriously before but I am now.

Short of wishing her to be run over by a bus, I now don't want to park my car for the time (at night anyway) being incase damage got worse.

Folks suggested maybe park my car at theirs for month and hope she would get bored. So frustrating nothing can be done by the police furious

Ignore everything she does. Texts? Ignore. Suicide pleas? Ignore. Deranged ranting? Pretend she doesn't exist.

Unless she actually causes you serious grief with your property or person, make her understand that you really couldn't give a st about her or anything she does.

Now that she can't phone me or get to my car. All I will be doing right now is to completely ignore her.

I think eggs and bits of paper I got off lightly.

Move and post a report of your death in the local newspaper and have someone send a copy to her. Next time you see her you can then pretend no to know her. "Sorry love, don't know what you're talking about"

Should have set up a camera pointing at your car! Caught her in the act if it definately was her? Then the police could charge her for criminal damage!?

Top advice... indifference is usually far more effective than reaction...

I wouldn't want to stoop to her level by reacting in anyway which would be so easy.

I might be wrong about this but I was under the impression there is a law to protect the victims of stalkers

I would have thought you should be able to have a court injunction against her keeping her away?

I was advised that you can get some sort of injunction against the stalker but it would cost you as it needs to be done through the courts.

Yes there is a stalking law. But I believe to get a conviction she will have to do a great deal more than be a bit of a nuisance. I've seen reports where the accused stalker had sent hundreds of threatening texts and telehone calls per day.

Give your car a good wash and polish with Autoglym. Any paint sprayed on it afterwards will then be easy to get off - it certainly worked well with my scoob.

Do what I did, ignore her and move 200 miles away.

I think you're best leaving it at your parents and waiting till she gets bored. She will.

Or, as a leftfield suggestion, use it as an excuse to get a new car and not tell her.

On a more serious note, it took my crazy ex gf about 4 months to leave me alone, she even called up where i used to work asking if they knew a contact number for me. Mind you she wasnt quite as crazy as yours, and if i caught anyone vandalising my car, "my life felt threatened" and id defend myself with something heavy. And sharp.
