New owner advise on clubs, reliability etc please.....

Just bought a Cooper-S after owning 5 x Supras, a GT-4, Lotus Elise and a Z3. Yes I know, what a difference but couldn't resist it ! Am I in for a lot of trouble from this car having spent nothing on any of my Supras or Z3 ? or are they sound ? Power steering pump replaced by previous owner in 2008, and window mech replaced but apart from that nothing major. Car has covered 65,000 miles with full Mini history.
Also, a couple of years ago when we were coming back on the ferry from France, there were about 30 Mini's returning to the UK from a trip. Which club is the best to join. We like the idea of driving and track days etc. Any advice much appreciated, MC

The car may need a clutch soon but apart from that you should be fine with some love and care. they are quite reliable even if you drive them hard
