I'm thinking about buying a lens (I've mentioned it before) and the lens is on the "Simply Electronics" website fairly cheaply. However, a Google search throws up some good and bad comments for them - the bad is pretty bad and the good, well, it's what you'd expect from such a company.

They do, at least, exist, but my question is - Has anyone here used them and what is their opinion of them?

Thanks,

James

i've used simply 4 times with no issue, but believe their admin is a bit slow, ie i got a "its been dispatched" email 2 days after my 430ex was received.
Buy with a credit card and you are safe...

Thanks - however, it's this thread on the AV Forums that make me wonder:

Thanks, both of you - I'm still a bit wary about that site, but I think I'll use my Credit card just in case....

If Camerabox are charging the same price then go with them. I recently bought a Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 (Nikon fit)from them. Placed the order late morning/lunch time, they rang me back mid afternoon to confirm my details before passing the lens on to the delivery company.

I would recommend camerabox too, next day delivery only £5 and a very good service

Slight resurrection...

We used camerabox - delivery took about 3 days in all and service was excellent - can't fault the lens either smile
