4 pot conversion hoses
Discussion
Has anyone here had any experience fitting these?, the first picture shows the banjo bolt that goes on the small link hose, the thread on this is too long and bottoms out on the caliper before sealing (both holes in the caliper are the same depth)
The next picture shows the main hose banjo bolt which fits fine but looks a little on the short size for my liking (ok not the end of the world as the copper washers do the sealing)
And the next picture shows the hose in place, does look this correct?
I can cut the thread back easily enough but considering how many of these they must sell it would have been nice if someone could have changed the design
Nag over

I hate bleed nipples
I've never known something so small and inexpensive cause me so much grief on a number of different cars.
I got through 4 different callipers on a 205 once till I got one which I could undo without snapping it off.
Its what happens when you over tighten steel into cast iron.
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO JUST NICK THEM UP

The other big problem with bleed nipples is that after bleeding they are full of brake fluid which attracts moisture in and rusts the flippin things solid. I usualy give a blast of WD40 in the end to dispel and remaining fluid, a smear of copper grease around the exposed threads and then make sure the dust cover gets put back on. And they still seize up

I'm being a bit ignorant here by I guess this is for a metro 4pot/vented disc conversion?
If it is and you guys have done it could you please advise on parts I need? I know I need metro discs and callipers and the hose conversion, but I was wondering what disc carriers you use and if any thing else needs changing?
At the moment the car is equiped with standard non-vented disc brakes, the car is a 94 sprite.

You need the disks, calipers, hose adaptor kit and drive flanges AFAIK

Very Nice!!! Is that all new stuff or recon? Must have taken bloody ages, looks worth it though
Thanks!, most of it is recon with some new parts (bearings bushes group A tie bars etc), yes it has taken a long time but it (the subframe) will be finished soon, just waiting for the driveshafts to be plated then it's onto the rest of the car

Sausauge, the only other thing you need is the metro vented drive flange (the bit with the wheel studs in).
You will probably need to machine these as they have wheel locating lugs that foul on most Mini wheels. If when you get some you can get them to me I will machine them off for you
You will also need some early Metro swivel joints (GSJ 268).I have 4 brand new ones that I need to take back to the Rover dealer for a refund (I ordered some but my dad picked some up for me to, my fault I did ask him to do this and forgot to tell him!).They were about £9 each but if you want them they are yours for £25 for 4
