Night Vision Speed Camera
Discussion
Bad news. I have information from a reliable source that Hampshire Police have acquired a mobile night vision speed camera.
I also heard that they issue an average of 7,400 tickets a week. That should bring in a revenue of £400,000 a week or about £20 million a year. A nice little earner that would pay the salaries of all the staff needed to process the fines.

Interesting theoretical situation. Given the lack of police cars on the motorway, it's probably a lower risk these days to simply remove the front number plate as I don't believe that offence is endorsable. You risk the fine but not the points.
As long as the plate fell off whilst on your journey, it's unlikely any more serious charge could follow. Not that I'd ever advocate such a thing.

What is needed is a license plate holder that goes down at 70+mph. But then the body design is an issue (this works on cars like the R34 GT-R and Supra MKIV TT, as they have a gap at the front for the FMIC). This is available as an aftermarket part.
LOL @ vetteheadracer. It must have been a hint - that you are going to be addicted to extracting the car's performance on the motorway, regardless of speed cameras, that having no license plates is an advantage!

.
How about three different revolving number plates like Sean Connery's Aston Martin DB4 in "Goldfinger"?
Front number plate ??? Whats that then ??
They make an LCD number plate cover that works (wont fit US size plates - but I keep asking him to make another jig ...so maybe one day)
