Anyone got any ideas what's happened here, was up on Pendle Hill a couple of weeks back, thought i'd take a pic on my camera phone and managed to get this!! Any thoughts on what the streek of light may be across the picture? it's not on any others from the same day.

I can only think it's a tiny ray of sunlight that i've managed to get, but i may be completely wrong, or is it just some fancy lens thing going on, honestly don't know.

Cheers.

Judging by the position of the sun it looks like a thin lens flare issue. Are any of the other pictures taken into sun?

One other, but it hasn't got the same "effect".
At least it's not ghosts.

Deffo lens flare. It's a side effect of shooting towards the sun.

could be a bullet trail - was it taken on a grassy knoll in Dallas circa 1963? wink

sorry... just lens flare. I can show you about 10,000 of mine with similar. (I take most of my photos into the sun - I'll never learn)

ETA...the cheaper the lens, the more filters, the worse it'll get.
