After 3 years in a 911 a return to M was clearly required and yesterday I put a deposit on a M6. Pictures to follow when I get the car. Can't wait bounce

There's a brave man. What's the depreciation on these things nowadays? £2k a month??

I think that's perhaps a little excessive.

Nice one - beautiful cars.

Ashok - maybe he is getting a used one, they are one heck of a used car buy at the moment!

What's money compared with 507bhp?

Congrats on recognising the most criminally ignored uber GT on the planet.

How many group tests do you see with various Astons, Jags and Maseratis and barely a mention for wor bruiser?

Re depreciation - Ashok, I think they've steadied, a bit - the relative dearth in supply must be partly to explain although coming from a serial Buchlovian, any comments re depreciation, well, I'm thinking pot-kettle nexus, as it were? wink

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Spec? Colour? You won't be disappointed but expect 3-4 months to pass before you realise just how good it is!!!

Ashok - BEHAVE yourself... the man is excited about buying his new shiny toy. Unless brand new they don't depreciate anywhere near that and if you're buying brand new then you'd already know and expect it rather than be stupid enoguh to buy blindfolded.

I can see an M6 meet being required at some point this year, we have a few here now... biggrin

It's black on black, 55 plate with 16k miles, bluetooth, comfort access, tv, climate comfort windscreen, high beam assist, piano black gloss, ski bag and universal remote (i've no idea what universal remote or climate comfort windscreen do but hey that's not important when you're about to step up from 320bhp to 507bhp). bounce

So true. It's the unusual looks that mean this car gets ignored.

Do you mind me asking if you purchased from a dealer or privately and if you got any discount? I'm also in the market for an M6 or M5.
I tried to pm you but it wouldn't allow it, you can pm me if you wish, thanks.

Very nice - there is a black M6 that often parks near my place, great colour for this car, IMO.

(but then I am biased when it comes to black cars...)

wink

Bet you can't wait!!

No problem. It's coming from a BMW dealer. I did manage to get a small discount (I took about £1k off their asking price). I have normally managed to take a bit more off approved used BMWs however they wouldn't shift on this one and it was the colour combo and spec that I wanted so I went for it.

A good choice, I've viewed a couple of black ones and they do look stunning, enjoy it!!
